Vinny Pannutti on Camel City’s Acquisition of Irvin Hardware

Vincent Pannutti, GM, Camel City Posters

Can you give us some detail on what services Irvin Hardware provides to the OOH industry?

Irvin Hardware has a rich history in the OOH industry, dating back to the early 1990s when Grady Irvin introduced himself and his company to the billboard world. Grady made his mark on providing good products and outstanding customer service to his customers and those values fall in line with everything we do here at Camel City.  We will work to honor that history and look to grow upon the core fundamentals that Irvin established.  Camel City will continue to sell all the hardware associated with a billboard from ratchet straps to aprons. In addition to our core products, we will also look to evolve and increase our product line for things that our clients need.  I am sure that in the coming weeks, we will have our full evolving product line out there and visible for the industry to view.

Do you plan to operate Irvin as a separate company or will it be integrated into Camel City Posters?

Irvin Hardware is now a Division of Camel City Poster Productions.  Our products will be housed onsite at our facility in King, North Carolina.

Any key personnel staying on as a part of the purchase?

Yes, Tom Sampson will be joining our team at Camel City.  He will be heading up the Irvin Hardware Division.  Tom has been working with the Irvin Division at MRI since 2021.  He has experience in both the hardware and engineering side of sign building. He has spent nearly his whole career in both the sign and OOH world. Tom is an invaluable asset, and we are thrilled to have him on our team.

With the addition of Irvin Outdoor Hardware, share a little about your overall vision for Camel City Posters in continuing to be a key player in serving the OOH community?

Camel City Poster Productions has been designing and printing billboards since 1987.  It seems that we are in constant growth mode here at Camel City. When I first came on board in 2005, we were operating with one large format press and two poster presses.  Now we are now operating what I’d call a fleet of large format printers servicing the Outdoor industry’s finest companies across the country.  Our growth has been built from the success of our team.  Everyone from sales to shipping, we always have the client’s best interest at the forefront of our operation.  Forming long-term relationships and establishing trust with our clients/friends is what it is all about at the end of the day.  We care about them, their business, and their families.  We are here to help our clients succeed, when they win, we win.  We invest in you the client; we are on the front line trying to help you overcome the obstacles that come your way.

With the addition of the Irvin Division, we are further equipped to serve our clients and help them succeed.  We have assembled an exception team that will focus on customer service and ensuring that our clients receive whatever they need at an affordable price and delivered on time.

We don’t want to be just relevant in OOH, we want to lead the charge and growth for all of those invested in our industry.  We all face competition and challenges, but if we all work together at striving toward OOH being the greatest Medium out there, we all win!
