Two Hurt When Crane Topples While Dismantling Billboard

Two workers were hurt last week after tumbling 20 feet to the ground while removing a billboard on North Gaffey Street in San Pedro, California.   A crane arm broke spilling the workers who were subsequently trasported to the hospital.  The Billboard was owned by Regency Outdoor.  You can read the story in the Los Angeles Times, Daily Breeze and watch the story at CBS News Los Angeles.

Billboard Insider’s take:  Cranes are a significant source of on the job injuries.  You need to make sure you understand which of your subcontractors and employees are using cranes and if they are properly trained.
