Tiffin Metal on Billboard Imprints

A reader asked Insider to write about billboard imprints, the nameplates which identify that a billboard is yours.  Insider talked with Marcia Carroll and Kylene Foster at Tiffin Metal Products to learn more about Billboard imprints.

What kinds of imprints do you sell?

We provide imprints in a variety of sizes. It seems no two companies are the same in terms of what size or style (oval, rectangular with squared off or radius corners) is required. We can accommodate the smallest junior board to the largest bulletin.  The imprints are manufactured out of powder-coated aluminum for supreme weather protection and then screen printed with the company’s logo, as directed.

How much do imprints cost?

Pun intended, but the pricing is all over the board. It depends on quantity runs and size.  For example, a middle of the road size, 6.5”H x 48”W will run appx. $25 ea. if a quantity of 20 is purchased.  That number goes up or down with quantity.

Is there a minimum order size?

We will make one imprint if that’s what the customer wants, but it will be expensive.  If we look at that same size mentioned, running one will be close to $100 (due to set ups) and drop significantly when 5 are purchased, taking them to $32 ea.

What advice do you have on imprint design?

To save on a longer lead time, we encourage our customers to go with a size already designed, but will certainly provide custom sizes.  Doing so will add a few weeks to the shipment date.

Who’s the contact at Tiffin to order imprints?

Please contact Marcia Carroll at 800-537-0983 or mcarroll@tiffinmetal.com for any further pricing or product inquiries.
