3 Tips on Billboard Nameplates

Kenny Robison has a Seeking Alpha post which says Lamar is undervalued by 30%.  We’ll review Robinson’s financial analysis next week.  This sentence in Robinson’s article caught Insider’s eye:

“The company (without distracting from the client’s advertisement) strategically places its logo center stage at the base of each and every board.”

Robinson is talking about nameplates.

  1.  Use nameplates.  What other form of monthly advertising is free?  What store would fail to put up a sign?  Billboards are your store.  Put up a sign.  Nameplates are cheap.  Insider pays $115 for a 1′ by 4′ aluminum nameplate and $152 for a 1′ by 8′ aluminum nameplate.  You can have your crews install the nameplate when they change vinyl.

 2.  Make nameplates easy to read.  Insider initially ordered nameplates which said “www.Circlecityoutdoor.com”.  That’s too many letters.  They were too small to read.  The next batch said “Circle City”.  People see the nameplates, look us up on the internet and give us a call.

This nameplate is too small and unreadable.

Bigger nameplate is readable.

 3.  Use your corporate colors.  Lamar’s nameplates are white on a green background, Outfront Media’s nameplates are white on a purple background, Fairway’s nameplates are white on a red background…
