The Sandusky Register reports about a group of fifth grade students at Danbury and Port Clinton who had the opportunity to compete in an OSS Solid Waste District’s Billboard Contest recently. The students had two months to design their own billboard using the theme of recycling or litter prevention.
The contest included fifth grade students from Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca counties. The district’s staff then selected three winners from each county to display their artwork on billboards within their county.
The winning billboards can be seen on Ohio 2, east of Ohio 53, near the Ohio 269 ramp and on Ohio 53, north of Paulson Road by Happy Day’s Boating; and Addisynne’s billboard will be put up at Ohio 163, east of Ohio 53.
Insiders take: Always a great idea to invest in the local community. Great campaign to include local schools and promote a worthy cause.
