SignDash has sales and inventory management tool for small out of home companies.

With the New Year, better productivity is on everyone’s mind.  Billboard Insider recently talked with SignDash’s Tracey Hess to learn how SignDash helps small and midsize out of home companies..

Tracey, what is SignDash?

SignDash is a web-based billboard sales and inventory management tool that is tailored for small to medium sized operators. It’s been around for a few years, but it’s now entering a new chapter.

Tell us a little bit about what is going on with SignDash and your involvement.

There are a number of wonderful billboard software systems currently on the market with all the bells and whistles. However, I’m a big fan of simplicity and have always wanted a system that makes selling and managing contracts easier for small to medium sized operators. I’m looking for that perfect balance of efficiency without being overly complicated. SignDash has always been a solid contract writing and inventory management system, but over time I have found myself saying, “wouldn’t it be great, if….”

That sentiment on my part turned into Neil Bell of New South Outdoor also seeing the vision and investing in SignDash last Summer. I was brought on to manage customer relations and sales, and to help with development. We retained the original US-based software engineer who created SignDash, and he is working with us to make enhancements and updates a breeze – to bring our vision for the product into reality.

Our first major improvement was to create a dashboard that shows important metrics at a glance. After all, it’s called SignDash, right?  Static occupancy, digital occupancy and sales goals are all now in an easy-to-read format.  New proposals and new sales are all at your fingertips, and renewals are front and center so nothing should be missed.

Is there anything that you love about SignDash that will not change?

I have always been happy with how SignDash works, so there is quite a bit that will not change:

  • Affordability: SignDash has always been affordable and will remain so.  Smaller operators want the biggest bang for their buck, and we will continue to be here for them.
  • Clicks: I want to click fewer buttons to get things done. If I have to click, toggle, checkmark or add data in multiple places, it drives me crazy. I can get things done quickly in SignDash, and that aspect of the system will not change.
  • Simplicity: I love the simplicity of how proposals are created and moved through the contract process. Whether you’re a one-man-band or have a sales team, SignDash is a tool, not an obstacle, to getting things done. That will remain part of our core.

What plans do you have for future development?

Our goal is to stick to the original plan by keeping the best of SignDash and tweaking it to add efficiencies and enhancements but not over complicating it. One improvement high on my list is invoice integration, and I have my fingers crossed that we can get that done quickly!

If anyone is interested in SignDash, what should they do?
