Here at SignBird, our sales team has previous experience in selling to Media Buyers and Advertisers. This gives us insight into what YOU need when looking to go above and beyond in selling your billboard ad space.
Billboards are like real estate, it’s all about location, location, location! When making a ride sheet for your clients, you’ve got to know everything about what is in the area you’re selling! Knowing what is located in the area will help you appeal to the Advertiser or Media Buyer looking to display their ad to a specific audience. For example, advertisements for a surfboard company would work well near the shore and within a few miles of a shop that sells said surfboards.
Next, and this may seem obvious, would be contact information! You want your name, phone number, and email address readily available. Make sure the point of contact on your ride sheet is knowledgeable about everything in the area, information about the billboard, and can talk at length about its strengths. If your contact information is hard to find, or too small on the ride sheet, you may get skipped over for another billboard.
Advertisers and Media Buyers are often looking through hundreds of billboards to find the exact match. You’ve got to make sure yours stands out! Go the extra mile with a fantastic photograph and even a promotional video! Photos will capture their interest, and with a video, you can show instead of just telling them billboard information! Sure, your billboard gets 100,000 views a week, but can the Advertiser see that traffic? With a proper promotional video, they will be able to take in all of the information presented to them from the ride sheet.
