Sign Up for IBO’s OOH 101

From Becky Smith, IBO Enterprise Manager

The IBO networking group meets together twice a year to share ideas, meet like-minded people and find new ways to generate revenue.  Our group is growing and we have fewer restrictions for companies to join.  We extend membership to both OOH rookies as well as veterans.

I spoke with a new IBO associate at our Kansas City Conference and he said, “Becky, this is all GREAT but I don’t understand what you – and other presenters – are SAYING, what is CPM, OTS, CBSA, etc.”  As a former teacher, this hit me hard.  I needed a solution.  I saw this new member again last week at a Sandler Training online meeting — and I thought — let’s get together online and have some open discussions.  OOH is ever-changing.  New acronyms are being generated (it seems to happen daily) and it is hard to keep up.

IBO is announcing our first OOH 101!

Our first session is this Thursday, June 30th at 10am CST.

If you want to join us, email me at becky@IBOUSA.org for details.

Not sure if your company is a member?  It doesn’t matter.  All are invited.

If you are interested in expanding your OOH vocabulary, please attend.  I would love our conversations to happen organically, so bring your ideas and questions.  If I do not know the answer, I will find someone in our group who does.

About IBO

Our network of business professionals emerged a few decades ago and combined efforts with common ties as independent business operators, mostly from smaller rural and suburban markets.  Challenged by our size and access to resources, contacts, and ideas, we created an organization whereby we helped each other out, not dissimilar to the old ways that our great country was born, by neighbors helping neighbors.

Over time we have grown to be a fun, innovative, and influential group of business entrepreneurs and companies, centered around the world of marketing and exchanging ideas about technology, operations, and sales.  We each have resources, products, and services that operators may benefit from, and this site attempts to coordinate a wide variety of interests.

Our primary networking tool is our semi-annual conference whereby the owners and key people in our Associate Companies meet to discuss the topics of concern.  We have extended our access to our services to a broader spectrum of groups, including agencies that touch the OOH industry.  Our IBO Speedway is similar to a real estate MLS whereby we band together our nationwide inventory footprint to provide current pricing and availability for buyers, brands, and platforms in a traditional or automated manner.
