Know your opposition.  Here’s Scenic America’s budget for fiscal 2019-2023.  We took the numbers from Scenic America’s  recent  form 990.

• Revenues increased 7% to $1.3 million in 2022.
• Expenses increased by 9% to $1.3 for 2022.  Scenic has 8 staff members.
• Cash balances have declined over the past two years due to increased expenses.
• Scenic President Mark Falzone has a good gig.  He earned a salary of $390,392 in fiscal year 2023 up from $163,600 in fiscal year 2019  His salary has increased 24%/year over the past 5 years and now accounts for almost one out of every three dollars which Scenic raises.
• Scenic’s Chair is lawyer Michael Dawida a former Allegheny County commissioner and member of the Pennsylvania State House of Representatives.
• Here’s are lists of Scenic’s current board members and a map showing where Scenic has chapters.
