Well, they’ve done it again! Chris C, Becky, Sarah, and the rest of the crew at IBO have organized a fun, productive, and educational conference in Salt Lake City from April 8 through 11. Chris R and I will attending this year, as Mike has some family commitments. For this conference, Chris and I will be presenting on Thursday about a book we’re working on with John and Dave at Billboard Insider, to eventually be published under the title of ROTHFELDER & FALICK ON BILLBOARD LAW. This book, like the BILLBOARD INSIDER GUIDE TO LEASES, EASEMENTS, AND REAL ESTATE we published together several years ago, contains articles, forms, and summaries published in Billboard Insider. In this case, there’s over 130 of our articles published over the last decade, organized into seven chapters, with a three to five page summary preceding each chapter. Here a link to the power point we’ll be presenting at the IBO conference. And, the following are the chapters of the book, which we’ll be discussing in the presentation:
.First Amendment Challenges and Content Based Sign Codes.
.What the Operator Can Display or Choose Not to Display on His Billboards.
.Permit, Taxation, and other Governmental Disputes.
.Drafting and Litigating Leases, Easements, and Ad Contracts.
.Administrative Law Developments on Billboards.
.Drafting and Litigating Asset Purchase Agreements.
.Eminent Domain and Inverse Condemnation.
