Insider spent three days in Pennsylvania this week. Some observations.
Lots of empty Lamar boards on I-76 between Harrisburg and Philly. At one point Insider passed three empty Lamar boards in a row. Also looked to be quite a few public service boards. Not used to seeing so many empty Lamar boards.
The State of Pennsylvania state uses Daktronics digital signs along the freeways to flash slow down warnings when there’s construction. Insider finds it mystifying that some states still trot out objections to digital signs on safety grounds while other state like PA use digital signs to notify motorists of traffic conditions.
Lots of nice looking digital signs from Kegerreis, Outfront, Catalyst and Lamar. The Catalyst boards looked brand new and big. Pennsylvania seems to be ahead of many parts of the country in the rollout of digital.
