Lamar seeks 2 digital billboards in Lombard

The Daily Herald reports that Lamar has received preliminary approval from the Lombard trustees for two lighted digital billboards in Lombard, Illinois.  The billboards will be on Glenbard Wastewater Authority property along I-355 between North Avenue and Roosevelt Road.

Lamar’s proposal includes:

  • A 20 year lease at $75,000/year.
  • An agreement to take down two existing non-electrniic billboards along Roosevelt Road.
  • A prohibition on adult use or firearm advertising.
  • Free space to the village and other government entities in Lombard to promote events and information.
  • The project needs approval from the Illinois Department of transportation.
  • The signs will have 10 second flips.
