Our readers think that out of home will benefit from the ad backlash against facebook.

“OOH should benefit as the medium is the message. The only content surrounding OOH is the environment . That can pose an issue if the copy is seen as inappropriate for where it is placed. I believe most OOH vendors have policies in place to make sure the ad copy enhances the environment where it is seen. Alcohol and OOH companies adhere to strict restrictions with no placements near schools, parks and places of worship. I hope more advertisers National and local see the value and invest in our medium now and continue to do so post COVID – racial tensions.”

“Whether people/advertisers defend free speech OR defend responsible speech (meaning facebook bares the responsibility of filtering of posts/comments) Outdoor will benefit. Either way advertisers feel they may be in a situation that makes them look like the are being politically incorrect.”

“I’d like to see company’s pull their ads from any of the news outlets that are continually spreading news that they know is incorrect and false. That should help get their attention quickly and insure that the general public has the correct information on hand, regardless of which side it comes from. If the ad dollars start drying up, change will come really fast………”
