    Rate This Board allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising.     • This is a great billboard. The bright red background draws the eye. The visual immediately tells you what the ad is about. And the logo in the corner tells you who it’s from. And I still have half the read time left.
    • The 2 for $3 message features high contrast text and background for outstanding legibility. W
    • ith a word count of only 4, the text and photography lead the target audience right through the message in a simple straight line so the brain can read, understand, and remember.
    • This McDonald’s 2 for 3 gets a 5 (great).
