Rate This Board allows a billboard designer to rate a random piece of billboard artwork using the following scale: 1 (not good), 2 (below average), 3 (average), 4 (very good), 5 (great). Then the designer talks about what they may have done differently for outdoor advertising. This week’s rating is provided by Dan Cunningham a designer with Blue Sky Digital Printing.  Blue Sky Digital Printing is a Norman, OK company which provides vinyl printing and billboard design services to out of home advertising companies.  

The Mulch Depot

Rating: 3 (average)

• The layout is ok, but it could be much stronger.  

• I would have used the mulch graphic for the entire background or used a dark green background and reversed the “The Mulch Depot” name to increase visibility and to keep it consistent with the other reversed text.
