Devoe’s
Rating 4 (Very Good)
When we talk about billboards and ads, the best ones grab our attention and make us feel something special. This billboard for Devoe’s shows us how mixing cool ideas, like animals showing off a logo, can really catch people’s eyes and make them interested. It’s all about getting to know and like the brand, and this billboard with its fun and creative approach does just that, making a great start to understand how it can be even better. Positive Feedback: This billboard actually has a pretty nice idea to it, and I like the animals holding up the logo. When it comes to outdoor advertising, I have an easy way to kind of gauge if it’s effective or not. People do business with others that they know, like, and trust.
With billboards, we’re getting our name out there, being creative to entertain the market, and gain local trust in the marketplace. With that being said, this concept pretty much does that for me. It’s clear that it’s Devoe’s, I like them, and I trust what I see to give them a shot.
Constructive Feedback to make it a 5/5:
This billboard could be really excellent if the animals were used across the full horizontal portion of the billboard, with the animal heads going above. This would increase the legibility of the animals, the name, and the emotional reaction quite a bit.
- Remove the sentence above the animals, it’s too small to really be seen and the image would stand out more without it.
- Remove the directional and website, this concept is really about the animals and name recognition of Devoe’s.
- Place Farm, Ranch, & Home Supply underneath the animals in a black font, and use the one color background across the whole billboard.
