Trailhead Media, the private out-of-home company owned by Viking Global Partners, has appointed Randy Otto as President and CEO. Otto has 46 years of experience in the out-of-home industry rising through the ranks at Pattison Outdoor to become President in 2004. Otto retired from Pattison in 2019 and joined Trailhead this past May.
Randy, what interested you in Trailhead.
Trailhead is a great organization with a nice footprint in the southeast United States. I’ve followed their growth over the last couple years. As I learned more about Trailhead from my meetings with the leadership group from Viking Global Partners, the more excited I became about the opportunity to work with the Trailhead team and help direct the future development of the company.
Give us a snapshot of Trailhead.
The company has 3,000 static faces and just under two hundred digital displays in eight states across the U.S. southeast. The corporate office is in Laurel, Mississippi. We have several regional offices in our market area and are looking at adding one or two more, as our people start returning to the office after remote working from home due to the COVID shutdown of the past couple of years.
What are some of your objectives for the next year.
Trailhead went through rapid growth over the past two years through acquisition of outdoor inventory. We are working on strengthening our business practices and infrastructure to give us a solid platform for sustained long-term success. I think that we’re poised in the near term to go back into the market to look for new opportunities in our existing market footprint.
