Downington, PA residents have asked Catalyst Outdoor to turn off one side of a digital sign on the Route 30 bypass at Norwood Road according to a dailylocal story. Catalyst has offerred to install 35 trees on the property to hide views of the billboard.
The residents have also met with Sen Andrew Dinniman (D-19) of West Whiteland. Dinniman has introduced Senate Bill 1301 in the PA legislature to require potential sign applicants to meet with Penn DOT representatives and local government representatives on the site of the proposed billboard before any permit is issued. Dinniman expects the Pennsylvania Senate to hold a public hearing this summer on the bill.
