Owner Feedback on Payroll Protection Loan Applications

Insider heard back from three owner/operators after our article last week on the Payroll Protection Program application process.

I had my PPP loan application completed on Monday of this week and it was funded by Wednesday. I used a local community bank and the loan officer was focused solely on getting these loans completed. I don’t know what kind of revenue these bank will derive from these loans. My loan officer wasn’t sure either. Regardless I’d say that they are truly essential workers.

Another comment from an owner/operator

I am suppose to sign my loan documents today. Yesterday afternoon my local “Community Bank” ,that’s actually the Banks name, said loans are approved and we are making loan documents and will be calling or texting for you to come and sign.

However I still haven’t heard from my Insurance company on lost revenue claim, along with my first SBA EIDL Loan filed on March 21st Saturday. Tomorrow will be 3-Weeks and I haven’t heard anything from SBA.

We also heard back on Monday that those documents were signed and funds received the same day.

And finally, from another owner/operator…

Received approval and a loan number from our community bank.  We are awaiting loan documents which we have allowed the community bank…. to delay as they devote all human resources to continue processing the applications of other area businesses. In discussions with the bank president the process is working. In discussions with the bank president the process is working.

I agree with you that the program is going well.  At least for the independent OOH operators, if you do not have a banker that calls you by name when you walk in the door that is something you need to work on.
