US Public Out of Home Stocks Outperform Market in 4Q 2025

The US public out of home companies outperformed the market during the fourth quarter of 2025.  Here’s an analysis of US Public out of home advertising stock performance, sponsored and analyzed by SignValue.

Clear Channel Outdoor was up 40% due to strong performance by the company’s airport unit and news that a sovereign wealth fund is exploring a takeover of Clear Channel Outdoor.  OUTFRONT was up 32% on the continued recovery of the company’s transit business as well as improved margins.  Lamar was up 3.4%.  The S&P 500 was up 2.3%.

The numbers look different when you look back 20 years.  The S&P 500 is up 448%.  Lamar is up 174%.  OUTFRONT is down 20%.  Clear Channel Outdoor is down 89%.  All three out of home companies have fallen farther than the market after the 2009 great recession and covid and have recovered slower from each event.
