The San Diego Tribune reports that the Oceanside Planning Commission has unanimously recommended that the city council strike language allowing digital billboards from the city code. This is the first step towards overturning an ordinance which allows up to four digital billboards on city-owned property. BGT Media, one of the companies hoping to build a digital sign, may sue the council if it approves the ban. The other company hoping to build a sign was Lamar. The city council will review the changes next month.
