Vogue Business says fashion advertisers have rediscovered out of home in Out-of-home advertising: The big fashion comeback.  The article cites OAAA sponsored research that more people are noticing out of home ads post-pandemic and quotes Adquick’s Chris Gadek fashion brand and retailer advertising is up 573% year over year.  Anna Bager is also interviewed.

Super Seed company wants to sue a billboard owner for not displaying a photo of a man with his shirt unbuttoned.  See Provo company says sexist double standard behind billboard ad denial.  Billboard Insider thinks the lawsuit is a publicity stunt.  Billboard owners and landlords have the right to decline ads offensive to community standards.  The lawsuit raises the importance of being consistent.  If you won’t run an ad with a male model with open shirt you better not run an ad with a female model with open shirt.

The Cromwell, CT Planning and Zoning Commission approved permits forDominick DeMartino to construct two one-sided digital billboards outside.  The billboard will have light mitigation technology and the billboard company intends to reforest a portion of the property on which the billboard sits.   Insider’s take: Lighting and light mitigation are coming up more and more at digital billboard hearings.  Do your homework ahead of time to check if there’s a lighting problem and to have a mitigation plan.
