What’s the program Brian?

This year brings an opportunity for billboard operators in Michigan. Reliable Electric Products Company and Consumer’s Energy have partnered up to provide additional rebates above and beyond the standard program. Bonuses up to 20 % above the standard prescriptive rebate make this an phenomenal opportunity to pay for a large portion of the fixture cost.

How did the program come about?

The midwest has become a hot spot last year for LED conversion projects -Michigan in particular. Benjamin Donnelly, a strategic energy advisor for national accounts at Consumers Energy reached out to me and wanted to extend this program to our customers. This is the best opportunity for anyone to switch over to LED if they have not done so yet. As a preferred partner with Consumers and DTE, we can file the rebates on your behalf.

What if I don’t have the manpower to change the lights?

For plants with limited manpower, we also work very close with the lighting install teams at Outdoor Link.   They can handle the install.

What if I don’t live in Michigan?

The returns from replacing old lights are still huge.  High efficiency lights can cut your power bill by 76%.  Retrofitting old lights is one of the highest return projects you have.  The payback is typically 2-3 years.
