Leave it to a billboard guy to come up with a smartphone app which allows you to superimpose a billboard on a picture.  Matt Schulze, a partner at Selective Structures has developed an app called Billboard Face.  The app allows you to put any message or image  on a billboard face set in various locations.  You can see some examples of the app in the images accompanying this article.  Insider asked Matt about the app.

Matt, how did you come up with the idea for Billboard Face?

  I dreamed  up  the  app  Billboard Face  because the billboard  industry is losing in the social media dept. I figured if the industry people started using billboards in their everyday lives on social media then everyone they are connected to  clients / friends will get excited about putting up  their own message.    It could be Happy birthday , anniversary wishes , political points of  views or  Love for your favorite team or whatever is on your mind . Besides who doesn’t like being told Happy Birthday on a billboard .

What does it cost?

Birthday cards are 3-5 bucks the app is .99 one-time charge.

Where can I get it?

At the apple app store.  Samsung, Sony and Android users are out of luck.
