Put Your Signs on the Internet

If your signs don’t show up in internet searches you  miss sales.  Insider got a call last week from an ad buyer seeking information on a high profile New York City billboard.  The buyer googled the billboard and received links to a Billboard Insider Article on the billboard but no links to the company which owned the billboard or a ride sheet for the billboard or a contact page for the company which owned the billboard.  Think about it.  A motivated buyer wanted to buy a billboard and didn’t know who to call.

Make it easy to buy your boards by giving each billboard a searchable web page which shows up on the internet under your company’s domain.  Circle City Outdoor owns a billboard on I-35 in Clear Lake Iowa.  When you search for “Clear Lake Iowa billboard” a link to the sign’s web page at www.circlecityoutdoor.net shows up 7th in the Google search results.  Advertisers see the sign in an internet search, go to the web page and call Insider.  You need to do the same for your signs.
