Lakeland Outdoor has been honoring grads on digital billboards.  Insider talked with Lakeland’s Kathy Oertel.

Tell us about the program

Lakeland Outdoor decided to showcase some of our 2020 graduating Seniors on our digital locations in Central Florida. Vikki Kast our Admin Assistant aka “scheduler guru extraordinaire” deserves a shoutout for helping to make this happen. Vikki has a high school senior graduating this year too so she is extra invested!  And the medium in this market is drawing added attention at a time where new sales are a challenge.

You’ve received some nice press.

Turns out we had two local news affiliates – Bay News 9 and Fox 13 News picked up the story over the weekend.  Parents are being creative in taking their graduates out for ice cream and surprising the student after stopping in the Dairy Queen parking lot where one digital face is located (as seen in the story).  This has been one little act where we can use the medium to bring Joy during this trying time.
