Jeremy Male On What’s Up and What’s Down

Here’s a selection of Jeremy Male’s comments at this weeks Wells Fargo TMT summit, selected by SignValue.

Jeremy Male

San Francisco still a problem

San Francisco has been difficult for us…less so on the Billboard side but certainly on the transit side where you know we we have the BART rail system…ridership there is crazy…like still in the in the 30s…30 percent

Tech and out of home

Our largest single advertiser remains Apple…Amazon, Netflix, Apple and Google have always over indexed in terms of expenditure on out-of- home.  The top 200 advertisers in total spend about 1.8% of their ad dollars on out-of-home whereas those companies just mentioned…can be north of 10%

The overlooked ad category

There is one vertical that we never get asked about and that is attorneys.  Attorneys are 8% of my book. They’ve doubled the movie category…I’ve never have once had a question about how’s the attorney category.

The M&A Market

I think over the last sort of year or so there’s probably been a bit of a mismatch of expectation from the private sellers to where the public markets… have been. Multiples expanded for all companies over the…last few months
