Moodie Davitt reports that JCDecaux is using beacons to supplement an Out-of-Home ad campaign at Hong Kong International Airport. Coach has ads publicizing its 1941 collection throughout the airport. With Beacon technology, air passengers can interact by shaking their Bluetooth activated and WeChat App pre-installed smartphones when approaching the Coach ads. Beacon transmitters fixed inside the advertising lightboxes communicate with passengers’ smartphones and walk them through the campaign step by step.
