Insider reached out to Jamie Roberts, owner of RAM Outdoor Advertising to discuss the sale of her business.

Jamie, can you tell us a little about the thought behind your sale?
I have officially sold all my boards in and around Fort Smith, AR. Over the past year, my priorities have shifted significantly, especially after the passing of my husband. My main focus has been caring for my mother, and with my trusted sales representative, Debbie, recently retiring—along with my contractors nearing retirement—it became clear that this was the right time for a change.
After much thought and consideration, I decided to accept Lamar’s offer. While this wasn’t the path I initially envisioned, I know it’s the right step to ensure I can fully dedicate myself to my mother’s care. Letting go of the business after 21 years has been an emotional and difficult decision—almost like saying goodbye to a part of my family. Though it’s bittersweet, I am slowly coming to terms with this new chapter.
Insider’s Note: Per the press release from Kalil & Co, who worked on this transaction, RAM Outdoor’s inventory included 31 structures with a total of 50 static faces, 14 digital faces, and one Tri-Vision.
On a personal note, both Dave and I wish Jamie all the best.
