Indie Impact Awards: Small Shops. Big Swings.

If a killer out-of-home ad hits you right in the brain chemicals, the Indie Impact Awards are your kind of night.

Held Thursday night of the IBO Spring Conference, the Indie Impact Awards spotlight the independent designers and operators who keep raising the bar for out-of-home. Not by formatting business cards on sticks—by crafting big, surprising, compelling ideas.

And it’s not just about the ads. It’s about the companies behind them—the ones doing the hard parts right, too: showing up with taste, consistency, and the kind of execution that makes the whole industry look better. Whoever takes home the awards this year will have earned it.

Owners: bring your creative team. One-day passes are available for Thursday, so they can join you for the conference and be there that night for the awards show.

The work is the headline

This year’s response has been huge:

  • 167 total entries
  • 34 companies represented
  • 97 static billboards and 56 digital displays
  • 28 extensions
  • 4 3D props

And the variety is half the fun—everything from bus ads to full-motion digital and dynamic content… and a vinyl with those spangle thingamajigs.

Why you should be in the room

Because you don’t just leave entertained—you leave energized.

The Indie Impact Awards are a reminder of what makes this industry so addictive: the craft, the ambition, the guts, and the pride of people who still care deeply about doing it right. You’ll walk out armed with creative firepower—fresh standards, sharp references, and the kind of momentum that helps you excite clients and sell more space. Dinner and drinks will be served at the show, so if someone tries to lure you into an offsite dinner, you can hit them with: thanks, chief, but no, I can’t miss the awards show.

Come to applaud. Leave with your brain buzzing—and a secret stash of dopamine you can spend all year.
