HOLLYWOOD, CA—Out-of-home specialists Orange Barrel Media retrofitted static signage between the famous Rainbow Bar & Grill and Roxy Theater in West Hollywood with digital signage from SNA Displays. The vertical display employs a 10 mm pixel pitch from the display builder’s EMPIRE™ Exterior line of LED video technology. The Sunset Strip hangout is a well-known hot spot with a rock and metal music theme and has been featured in music videos like Guns N’ Roses’ 1991 mega-hit, “November Rain.”
The digital face of the 50’5” tall X 20’ wide (1,536 X 608 pixels) pylon display faces westbound traffic along West Sunset Blvd., with static signage on the reverse side. The updated signage shows digital out-of-home (DOOH) content as well as on-premise messaging for events at the bar.
“Updating to a large-format digital display is not only an aesthetic improvement to the signage itself but it opens up a significantly wider stream of advertising revenue for the property owners,” said Pete Simon, director of out-of-home for SNA Displays. “The new platform offers a broader and more diverse range of messaging opportunities while standing out to traffic along the iconic Sunset Strip.”
YESCO provided LED installation services.
