Gainesville Times reports that Hall County Georgia has approved a digital sign at Browns Bridge Road and Georgia 369 but has denied a height and setback variance.  Advantage Outdoor has asked to the sign to be 50 feet high versus a 35 foot code and wants to put the sign 4 feet from the side of the property versus a 15 foot code setback.  As part of the request Advantage Advertising had agreed to remove a 1,200 square foot billboard off Cleveland Highway/US 129 in North Hall county. Gainesville, Georgia is considering whether to allow digital billboards within the city limits.
