Group M has revised upwards a forecast for US ad spending and US out of home spending.
US ad spend (excluding political) is expected to grow 15% in 2021, up from a previous forecast of 12% due to stronger than expected economic growth and expanding numbers of small businesses which are inclined to use advertising.
US out of home advertising is projected to grow 22% in 2021 after declining 32% in 2020. Looks to Insider like the ooh forecast for next year is down slightly (22% grown for next year down from a previous forecast of 23%) even though Group M revised upwards the total ad forecast.
