Geopath reports more people leaving home every day.

As the reopening of States picked up steam last week, 7 out of 10 people in the U.S. left their home, traveling at least 1 mile from their home on the average day – with some of the greatest mobility occurring in the hardest hit regions.

That’s according to an analysis from Geopath, the not-for-profit organization that provides the industry-standard currency for out-of-home (OOH), and data enablement and processing company, Intermx, which looked at location data. The data shows a steady increase from the week prior, where 66% of people left their home every day and the week of 4/13 where 62% of people did.

The analysis also reveals that the biggest increases in travel over 4 weeks happened in some of the states impacted the greatest by Covid-19 – most notably in California, Michigan, New York and New Jersey.
