From Insider – Any of us who have teenagers or young adults in our families have probably been exposed to the Pokemon GO craze which has exploded in the past week.
It does bring Gamers off the couch and into the real world, but can make them a bit distracted as the walk and stare at their phones to locate their latest Pokemon prize. This includes the two Gamers in Encinitas, CA who recently fell off a cliff while playing the game. Fortunately neither was injured badly.
Ubergizmo reports that Clear Channel has billboards up in Florida that warn gamers that they should not “Poke and Drive”.
The message also reads, “The Poke Stop Can Wait, Don’t Poke And Drive.” Basically your game should not take priority over your safety and the safety of others on the road.
We all know the dangers of texting while driving and talking on the phone while driving, so in reality playing Pokemon GO while driving isn’t all that safe either.
