Digital Board Proposal For Little Rock

Screen Shot 2016-03-29 at 4.46.25 PMThe Little Rock Board of Director’s has an agenda item posted to review the conversion to digital of up to 4 billboards along Interstate 630 and on the corner of Kanis & Shackleford Roads.

The Arkansas Times reports that the current ordinance was meant to prevent alterations to billboards grandfathered on scenic corridors, which includes I-630. The city is being asked  to allow alteration of these billboards in return for removal of billboards from other locations in the city. As many as 13 structures could be removed and all removals would reduce the current 198-billboard cap in the existing ordinance.

The Planning Commission has reviewed the proposal and voted 11 to 0 to recommend approval of the ordinance amendment.

If you are interested in reviewing both the Ordinance and Notice to the Board of Directors, those can be easily viewed on the KATV web page.
