DesertX is working with Lamar to provide a unique art experience on a stretch of Highway between Joshua Tree and Palm Springs.

Co.Exist reports on a series of billboards that show photographs of the surrounding landscape.  On each board there is a moment when the billboards align with the nearby mountain range.

The artwork, called Visible Distance/Second Sight, runs through April 30
