Family owned since 1998, Watkins Outdoor Advertising has been dedicated to bringing the highest quality service and visuals to the Ozarks and Springfield MO with six digital faces.  Greg Watkins is the company’s owner.   We caught up with Greg to get some details on his Company.

Greg, can you share your background and what led you to the Out of Home industry?

All I can tell you is that I was a Public Relations/Journalism Major who tried and did NOT get the one PR job with the KC Royals. However, I was offered a job with the KC Star but was also offered a sales position with a family owned Outdoor Advertising Company in St Joe. It was about the same pay but they also had a gas pump at the office and offered all the gas I wanted. So the FREE gas hooked me.

My first boss was the absolute best — I mean the very best -Cathy Clayton was President of just about every club and organization in St Joe from Ad Club to Chamber of Commerce you name it she was deeply involved in the community. Plus she was fun and energetic and was a pleasure to work for. It wasn’t work it was and education and it was always fun. I feel I learned from the very best. Her drive, energy, and enthusiasm taught me exactly what to do and how treat each advertiser individually and with respect. She gave me the building blocks so when I started my own company I knew exactly what I needed to do.
