View Outdoor operates a billboard plant with over 585 billboard faces in Florida, Chicago and Wisconsin.  The company was founded by Dean White in 2004.  Pete Schroeder is President. Rob Hoobler is VP of the Chicago office Matt Felder is VP Real Estate and Leasing. View Outdoor is an operator associate in the IBOUSA and a member of the OAAA.  Insider talked with President Pete Schroeder, a 31 year veteran of the out of home business.

How did you enter the out of home business.

I started with Whiteco in 1981. After Mr White sold in ‘98, the decision was made to re-enter OOH IN 2004. 90% of our footprint has been internally developed.

What’s new since we talked last in 2021.

Added a few digitals as well as aggressive internal development in all markets. Have developed about a dozen new locations in Milwaukee which is a new market for us!

We have almost 25 in Indiana and a few in Florida. We use both Watchfire and Formetco.

Are you using any of the automated sales platforms (e.g. Blip, admoni, on-screen, vistar)?

Currently no. Focus is on local sales in all markets developing business face to face. On our 6th year utilizing Sandler Chattanooga’s OOH Sales Mastery Program which continues to greatly benefit our “in the field and on the street” sales team!  I’ve attached the direct link to their OOH landing page if anyone is interested in learning more about that program…   oohmastery.com
