Jesse London is the President and CEO of TierOne.  He spent 10 years in New York City in management positions for both Clear Channel and OUTFRONT Media, before taking the entrepreneur train south and starting TierOne Media.  For those of you who know Jesse he is always fun to catch up with and here is our conversation updating us on the business.

Jesse London, President & CEO, TierOne Media
First off, did hurricane season create any issues for TierOne?
We got lucky this time, both storms went east of us.

From a growth standpoint, has your outdoor or indoor business seen the most growth this year?
Both platforms grew but the billboards really jumped. Revenue on mature billboards went up double digits, and we added ten faces all of which are generating steady month over month growth. Before the end of the year we will be activating four more digital faces, one of which is a 20 X 60 windshield read and another will be our first square shape.

How many faces do you currently have in both of your business segments?
We have 85 billboard faces and 150 indoor locations. Indoor is inexpensive to build, generates positive cash flow quickly, and most important it’s a real tie-breaker when packaged into a billboard sale – something extra that my competitors can’t offer.

Looking towards 2025, what are thoughts on market conditions and opportunities for growth?
Our plant is mainly on a coast so growth is through the roof, and our cities (Mobile, Montgomery and Pensacola) are creating exciting downtown improvements. While we get the opportunity to buy stand alone assets, most of our expansion is in new construction and that deal flow has picked up. There are still spacing opportunities here, commercial zoning is expanding which opens new land, small business confidence is high (we are mostly local), and we invested in a dedicated real estate effort. I think next year will be our best as measured in revenue per face, and in net faces added.

You have been out of New York for a couple of years now?  Do you miss the City?
Of course; I miss everything and everyone in New York every day, and visit frequently (special shout out Delta for the direct flights). I have two children in NY, and 85 down here in Florida. I love them all, and am really busy making more.
