The TVTruck.com operates 3 mobile digital billboard Trucks in Pennsylvania, NJ, NY, and DE.

Paul Catagnus and Jeff Cartwright are partners in the business.  Insider talked to Jeff Cartwight.

Jeff, how did you enter the out of home advertising business?

Well, my partner Paul founded the company 3 years ago; with just 1 TV Truck, which he drove himself. Paul’s background was in printing and packaging (Moore Business Forms/Menasha Packaging) in outside Sales. My background was also in Advertising Sales and Management (Yellowbook/hibu). Paul saw an opportunity to purchase our first TV Truck, and decided the Philadelphia market was a great place to introduce this innovative technology. I joined the company as a Partner, 1 year ago, with the same vision and mindset for the company.  We are an outdoor, digital, mobile advertising and special event company. We like to say: “New School Ads from Old School Dads”

Tell us about the truck and how it is used.

Our TV Trucks are mobile, digital, advertising billboards. Our clients have an opportunity to brand their products and services, by advertising their digital message on all three sides of our LED installed screens; our two side screens are 11 foot by 6 foot, and the back screen is 6 foot by 6 foot. We have also rented our TV Trucks for Special Occasions: Super Market Grand Openings, Championship Parades, Concerts, ‘Get Out The Vote’ and Political Campaigns, and Professional Sporting Events. Our brightly lit TV Trucks are also equipped with audio, we can display video from YouTube or other sources, and we can accept a live feed and show the “live” program on our screens.

What are some of the challengers of operating a mobile digital billboard business?

Like any business;  it’s growing our client base, while maintaining/nurturing our current base of clients. We are always searching for creative ways to use The TV Truck, to satisfy the needs and desires of our clients. And, maintaining our current fleet of 3 TV Trucks; mechanical and “LED” Technical maintenance happens weekly. We are ever diligent to insure our advertisers/clients’ messages will be “driven”, as we promised.

How do you handle insurance? We maintain significant coverage to satisfy the needs of our clients and requirements for specific contracts.
