Blake Bradley, Director of Sales, Las Vegas Billboards

Insider caught up with Blake Bradley, Director of Sales, for an update on the business and the Las Vegas market.

I guess the big questions would be if you have seen any lasting changes to Las Vegas and the greater business community as a result of the pandemic?

Let’s hope what we are seeing is lasting, as Las Vegas has quite possibly never been busier. As a company, we continue to experience record numbers every month, and if you look at the local economy, I’d say the same. Home prices are at record highs, and the resorts are recording record gaming wins month after month. However, the significant lasting change might be the unemployment numbers. Unlike what is being reported nationally, Las Vegas businesses continue to struggle to find good people. The pandemic forced many people home, and for some reason, many aren’t reporting back to work.

Last time we checked in you had 58 face, 28 being digital.  Any new additions and can you provide the details?

We have 35 digital units in the Las Vegas valley and have added seven digital panels since we last spoke. So we do have some very exciting things on the horizon, but unfortunately for your readers, you’re going to have to have us back for another spotlight at the end of the year so we can share them publicly.

Any concerns to tourism due to gas prices or inflation in general?

There is an overused expression that “Las Vegas is resilient” when it comes to the downturn of the economy, but we continue to show, time and time again, that we truly are. According to the Las Vegas Convention Visitors Authority, the drive-up market represented about 52% of the travelers in 2021. History has shown that this number fluctuates very little, so while the exorbitant gas prices may hinder some, Southern Californians have consistently demonstrated that they love their Las Vegas getaways and the summer of 2022 should be no exception.

Las Vegas Billboards posts videos of your locations on Linked In very regularly.  Are you finding that be a helpful tool in marketing available space or generating interest in prime locations?

The videos have added a brand new dimension to our selling process. A carefully crafted approach shot for a media kit may not show the whole picture, and we have found that our videos do offer a better “feel” for the actual location of each of our digital billboards. The feedback about our videos remains exceptionally positive, and while it was a bit costly for us to complete, we feel that it is not only good to promote our prime locations but all of our locations. The videos are an accurate representation of not only the approach shot looks like for each site but the surrounding areas as well; plus, for our national buyers, any time you can grab the Vegas skyline or Strip as a backdrop, it gives a whole different perspective!
