Key Outdoor is a privately held company which was started in 1977 and operates a billboard plant in Illinois, Missouri and Iowa.  The flagship office near Kankakee soon became one of many offices, as the purchases of other major billboard companies were completed. The first addition to the Key group was the LaSalle-Peru market, followed by Decatur, Galesburg, Springfield and most recently the Quincy, Illinois market, which also includes parts of Missouri and Iowa.
