Gila River Outdoor – formally Gila River Displays – is a native owned out of home advertising company in the Gila River Indian community in Arizona.  The company operates 66 total billboard faces, including one digital billboard face south and southeast of Phoenix. Gila River Outdoor is a member of the OAAA and the IBOUSA Billboard Insider talked with Mel Papp one of the company’s account executives.

Tell us about your plant.

We have  66 faces – bulletins, posters, digital (one digital on the 202 San Tan Freeway).  The billboards are a mix of10x40, 12×24, all bulletins and digital are 14×48.

What are your markets?

We provide exclusive coverage on Hwy 347 in the City of Maricopa; we also provide exclusive coverage on I-10 from Chandler Blvd to approximately 5 miles north of Casa Grande

You recently rebranded?

We rebranded this year from Gila River Displays to Gila River Outdoor, which included a logo update, painting all structures, and a new website. We plan to expand our footprint include building more structures in the next year and forward including converting statics to digitals.
