How many total billboard faces are you up to and how many of your total faces are digital?
We currently operate 800 static faces in addition to 32 digital faces, with definite plans to add a few more digital units in late summer to early fall.
What’s new at the company over the past year?
Our momentum over the past year mirrors the explosive growth of the region we serve. With a footprint that stretches across Horry County and beyond, we continue to combine local relationships, strategic expansion, and creative innovation to keep pace with a booming market.
In a recent study published by PrivacyJournal, Myrte Beach emerged as America’s most searched-for, out of state beach destination! Our 60-mile stretch of Atlantic coastline is known for its wide sandy beaches and affordable, family friendly fun!1
Horry County’s estimated population climbed to over 413,000 in 2024 and is projected to surpass 426,000 in 2025—a strong 3.5% annual growth rate.2
The city of Myrtle Beach reached over 42,000 residents in 2025, growing more than 17% since 2020.3
In response to this rapid growth, we’ve continued to focus on sales training—enabling our team to gain deeper insight into clients’ campaign goals, success metrics, and business objectives. Our mission is to build lasting partnerships with both local and national clients, rather than simply “putting up a sign.”
We’ve expanded our social media presence, surpassing 1,000 Facebook followers, where we highlight client campaigns and community service initiatives.
A standout moment this year: our President, Pudge Roberts, was inducted into the OAAA Hall of Fame in May, recognizing his outstanding leadership and impact in the out-of-home industry. His leadership, vision and the solid, talented team he’s chosen has led to Coastal Outdoor’s continued success!
How are you using AI in your business?
AI is an incredibly useful tool that helps us work more efficiently without replacing the creativity and expertise of our team. We use built-in Adobe Creative Suite features like background removal and generative expand in Photoshop to speed up time-consuming tasks, such as selecting subjects or adjusting layouts. AI-powered image generation allows us to create visuals that would be difficult—or impossible—to capture otherwise. These tools enhance our team’s capabilities, freeing us to focus on high-level design, strategy, and client service.
