Choice Media is an independent billboard company which was started with nine billboard displays in 1992. Brad Tooley is the company’s founder and President. Choice Media and its sister billboard companies of Swift Outdoor headquartered in Waco, Texas and Dynamic in Lubbock operates more than 1,300 billboard displays across Texas, Eastern New Mexico and Western Oklahoma including 60 digital displays.In January 2023, Choice Media purchased Mesa Advertising’s billboard plant in Elk City, Oklahoma and Clinton Oklahoma.
Choice Media sister companies include ownership by Tooley’s son, Kris and wife Brooke in Waco; daughter Shanna and her husband Ty Jones of Lubbock and Doug Cowan, longtime Choice General Manager. Choice Media is an operator associate in the IBOUSA. Billboard Insider talked with Brad Tooley.
What’s new over the past year
We continue to grow our inventory, being pickier (intentional) on locations. The cost of structures and construction has increased dramatically in the past couple of years and we want to make sure we’re picking winners when we approve new structure expense. Combined we’re around 1,300 faces and 60-plus digitals.
What are some of your objectives for the coming year?
I’m in “half time” mode and so we are restructuring our leadership going forward. I’m blessed to have son Kris and his wife Brooke running central to south Texas – daughter Shanna and husband Ty growing our and their businesses in West Texas and into New Mexico. We are super blessed to have great, long-term employees who are like family!
