Capitol Outdoor is an advertising company based on Washington DC.   The company was founded in 1990 by John Polis and Christopher Tavlarides.  The company operates a billboard plant nationwide with high profile billboards, wallscapes and spectaculars such as the largest outdoor advertising sign in Washington DC. The company added a network of 60 illuminated 6′ by 4′ ad panels in downtown New Haven during 2017.

Tavlarides is also a co-founder of Sophia Entertainment Group a TV and motion picture producer.
