Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA) operates an out of home plant in 7 eastern and midwestern states.   Adams was founded by Steve Adams in 1983 and is privately held.    Kevin Gleason is President and CEO of both companies.    Gleason serves on the Board of Directors of Geopath and the OAAA.

In August 2019 Adams and East Lansing Michigan announced a litigation settlement with the following terms:

• The city will approve 5 billboard structures having 9 faces  on city property adjacent to certain limited access highways
• Adams will pay East Lansing annual rent of $1,500-3,000 per static face and $5,000-10,000/year per digital face, depending on the location.
• The leases are 10 years and appreciate by 1.5% a year.
• Adams will grant East Lansing one spot on each installed digital billboard on a space available basis for up to 32 weeks a year for public service messages and to publicize city events.
