Are you wondering if there is any bias in the selection process for the college football playoffs? You will get a strong opinion in Florida and a shout out to Lamar Advertising of Tallahassee for loyalty to their Florida State Seminoles.
The Tallahassee Democrat reported the digital sign siting (shown above) last week. The billboard (actually there were two in town), shows a quote from FSU head coach Mike Norvell expressing his displeasure for his undefeated Power 5 conference team being shut out of the College Football Playoffs.
The publication reached out to the local Lamar office to see who had paid for the postings. Per the article, the Lamar General Manager Danny Funderburg, said his office is full of FSU fans. After the football team was snubbed by the College Football Playoff committee, Norvell’s quote went up in lights.
“Nobody paid for it,” Funderburg told the Tallahassee Democrat. “It’s just something we did on our own.”
Insider’s Take: You have to remember that you are always a local business. A well done to the Lamar Tallahassee office for their great support for the community they support.
