Clear Channel Outdoor (blue), OUTFRONT (purple), Lamar (green) and S&P 500 (orange) stock performance for 3 months ended September 30, 2025
Clear Channel Outdoor stock rose 30% during the third quarter of 2025, well in excess of the 8.4% increase in the S&P 500 index, due to reports that Anson Fund is pushing for a sale of the company. Turns out that Anson Fund is run by a former employee of Legion partners, another Clear Channel Outdoor shareholder which has been agitating for a sale.
OUTFRONT rose 12.7% during the third quarter of 2025, in excess of the 8.4% increase in the S&P 500 index due to continued recovery in the company’s transit business.
Lamar increased only 1.3% due to low 1.9% organic revenue growth during the second quarter of 2025 as well as a downward adjustment in the company’s revenue forecast for the last half of 2025 due to the loss of the Vancouver bus contract and revenue weakness.
